Nominations Open for the 2025 Rotary District 6270 Agent of Peace Award

On the International Day of Peace (September 21), Rotary District 6270 is calling on members and community partners to help us lift up the peacemakers among us. Nominations are now open for the 2025 Agent of Peace Award, which honors extraordinary individuals across Eastern Wisconsin who are building bridges, healing divisions, and creating lasting peace.

This is more than an award. It is our opportunity as Rotarians to shine a spotlight on the people – both within our clubs and in our broader communities – who embody what it means to be People of Action.

Why Your Voice Matters

Every club and every member knows someone whose quiet, consistent actions are changing lives:

A neighbor mentoring immigrant families,
A teacher creating safe spaces for students,
A volunteer leading dialogue across cultural or faith lines,
A Rotarian going above and beyond to serve with compassion.

These are the stories we need to hear. These are the people we need you to nominate. “Our members are the heartbeat of this award,” said District Governor Liz Nevitt. “We rely on you to bring forward the names and stories of the changemakers who might otherwise go unrecognized. Together, we can celebrate their impact and inspire others to follow their example.”

About the Award

Now in its third year, the Agent of Peace Award recognizes one community member (non-Rotarian) and one Rotary member from our Rotary District who demonstrate Rotary’s values of Service Above Self, integrity, leadership, and fellowship while advancing peace. The honorees will be celebrated at the Rotary District 6270 Foundation Dinner on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Nominations are open from September 21 through October 17, 2025. Eligible nominees must reside within District 6270, covering Eastern Wisconsin from Calumet and Sheboygan in the north to Racine and Kenosha in the south.
