Have You Made Plans Yet?

District 6270 would like to make a BIG SPLASH at the Rotary International Conference by having a HUGE number of members of our district attending.  In that vein we have coordinated a group airfare package for all individuals who are interested in going to Atlanta.  This is going to be a very exciting and easy convention during which we will celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Rotary Foundation...what would Rotary look like if not for the foundation?

I have 2 Queen and 1 King rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Downtown.  Mike and I visited this hotel last year and were very pleased.  A Hot Breakfast Buffet is included, shuttle service to the convention center will be at the Marriott which is across the street.  The area where breakfast is served is available for us to gather in the afternoon.  You can bring your own beverages and snacks to the gatherings.  No Bar Is Available in the Hotel.  Amenities include a Business center, Coffee/tea in common areas, Fitness facilities, Free WiFi, Free hot breakfast buffet, Free newspapers in lobby.  Very close to lots of restaurants, 3 blocks from Olympia Park, 10 blocks from the Georgia World Conference Center, 6 blocks to World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium.

I have a block of 15 rooms reserved from 6 nights - Friday June 9th to Wednesday June 14th  I can increase this to 20.
The room rate is $199.00 plus 16% taxes for a total of $230.85
·         Deposit of one night’s stay of $230.85 is due February 1, 2017 to reserve your room.  Final payment in full is due April 1, 2017
·         Incidentals are the individuals responsibility.
·         All hotel rates include complimentary in-room internet access, and Hot BreakfastBuffet.
·         Transportation to convention facilities is provided by a Rotary shuttle service is within walking distance at other hotel.

We have been amazingly lucky to The World of Coca Cola - for our party.  This fun venue tells the story of Coca Cola - from it's invention (and the secret formula) . . . to how it is bottled . . . to the many ad promotions over the years . . . to all kinds of fun articles that have carried the Coke logo . . . to tasting the over 120 different Coke products that are sold worldwide (yes, you will be able to taste as many as you wish) . . . and much more!

In addition to your museum admission, there will be wonderful food, wine, beer and Coke products (2 drinks per person), a chance to have your photo taken with the Coca Cola polar bear . . . and more fun surprises!
