Keynote Speaker: Ben Merens
Ben Merens is a public speaker with a passion for listening. His voice is well-known to Wisconsinites as a former 21-year talk radio veteran. Today, Ben is an Outreach Specialist with the state Consumer Protection Bureau. Ben speaks 250 times a year educating consumers about safety in the digital age. Ben’s listening message is heard through his audio books, “People Are Dying To Be Heard” and “Uni-Tasking: 25 Tips For Better Listening.”
As a public speaker and consultant, Ben has helped people in business, education and health care find ways to be present for their lives by listening in the moment. Ben is trained as a journalist and media professional. He has taught a variety of communications classes at colleges and universities in New York, Chicago and throughout Wisconsin. For fun, Ben is an improvisational, acoustic guitar troubadour.
