Rotary District 6270 New Member Orientation Program
Welcome to Rotary!
We are excited to welcome you to Rotary District 6270 and introduce our New Member Orientation Program. This program is designed to help new members get acquainted with Rotary International, our district, and your local club.
What is the New Member Orientation Program?
The New Member Orientation Program is a series of three sessions. The sessions are designed to be casual and relaxed, providing a comfortable environment for learning and connecting with fellow Rotarians.
Session 1: Rotary International - held periodically on Zoom
This session provides an overview of Rotary International, from its founding to its present-day programs. You will learn about Rotary's history, guiding principles, and how our district and club fit into its structure.
Session 2: Your Rotary Club - held at the time and location your club chooses
This session focuses on your local Rotary club. You will learn about the club's history, traditions, and key projects. You will also have the opportunity to meet club leaders and learn about how you can get involved. If you’re a content developer for your club, an outline can be downloaded here.
Session 3: The Rotary Foundation and Service at the District Level - held periodically on Zoom
This session explores The Rotary Foundation, its related programs, and how you can support its mission. You will also learn about serving Rotary at the district level and the various opportunities available to you.
