The Rotary Midwest President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is one of the largest multi-district PETS in the United States. It was formed in 2012 with a view to becoming a premier training event with the atmosphere of a mini Rotary International Convention by leveraging the expertise and buying power of six Rotary Districts from Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin, Districts 6220, 6250, 6270, 6420, 6440 and 6450.
With the ability to host exceptional speakers, informative workshops, detailed district training sessions, fellowship and networking, the basic purpose of our PETS is to motivate our 500+ attendees including club presidents-elect, presidents-elect nominee and assistant governors to ensure they are extremely well prepared for their year of service.
Registration opens December 2025.

NEW THIS YEAR, the Emerging Leaders program will feature its own dedicated series of workshops at Midwest PETS on Saturday, March 7.
Open to all Rotary Members, this program is designed to develop the next generation of People of Action. The Midwest PETS Emerging Leaders sessions will empower Rotarians with practical tools and insights to take on greater leadership responsibilities and lead with confidence—both within Rotary and beyond.
Participants in the Emerging Leaders program will explore key leadership concepts, including how to:
- Understand and strengthen their personal leadership style
- Align their leadership approach with their Rotary club or team
- Engage and inspire others using Rotary’s Change Model
- Navigate the unique challenges of leading volunteers versus leading in a professional setting
These interactive sessions support Rotary’s Action Plan by building adaptable, inclusive, and effective leaders who are ready to make a lasting impact in their clubs and communities.
