Looking for District 6270 Governor for the 2018 – 2019 Rotary Year
Does your club have a member that is passionate about Rotary? Do you know of a Rotarian that excels in the idea of ‘joining leaders to exchange ideas and then taking action’? If so, now is the time to approach these individuals about becoming a candidate for District Governor. District 6270 is now seeking nominations for District Governor for the 2018-2019 Rotary Year. The candidate needs to have club endorsement
Qualifications to be a candidate for District Governor are:
- The candidate must be a Rotarian in good standing in a Rotary club.
- Candidate must have seven years of Rotary membership, prior to taking office on July 1, 2018.
- Candidate must have served as Club President for a full year.
- Candidate must demonstrate willingness, commitment, and ability, physically and otherwise to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the office of governor as provided inn RI bylaws section 15.090
- Candidate must complete the “Governor Nominee” form (Site Pages - Forms - Governor Nominee Form). Form must be submitted by October 15th deadline date, to PDG Dan Christianson, dchrist921@sbcglobal.net
There are three years of training and preparation time for the District Governor candidate to become educated about the latest Rotary trends, goals and projects. Attendance at Governor Elect Training seminars and International Assembly are required.
